Muriel: Doctor, can you introduce yourself?

Doctor: I am Dr. Rahul Sharma. I am senior consultant dermatologist & cosmetologist working at HJ hospital. I am expert in LASERS, anti-ageing and fat reduction procedures.

Muriel: How Can I take care of my hair, my skin, nails on a daily basis?

Doctor: Sure, we all know a quick and balanced daily skincare routine is a good idea.

    For SKIN

    STEP 1: Cleanse Your Skin
Wash your face every morning to remove any impurities or excess oil that built up over night. The longer dirt and bacteria lingers on your skin, the greater the chance a breakout can occur. You should reach for a gentle face wash that won't strip your skin of too much oil.

    STEP 2: TONE YOUR SKIN
TONING YOUR SKIN IS A GREAT WAY TO HELP ENSURE THAT EVERY LAST TRACE OF DEBRIS IS REMOVED AS IT WILL PICK UP ANYTHING YOUR CLEANSER LEFT BEHIND. TONERS CAN ALSO HELP NORMALIZE YOUR SKIN'S PH LEVEL, AS WELL AS SMOOTH SKIN'S TEXTURE. REACH FOR A FORMULA THAT'S NON-DRYING AND RECOMMENDED FOR OILY SKIN

    STEP 3: APPLY A SERUM
SERUMS ARE DESIGNED TO HELP TARGET SPECIFIC SKIN CONCERNS AND TO PROVIDE ANTI-OXIDANTS NUTRIENTS

STEP 4: USE AN OIL-FREE MOISTURIZER

STEP 5: APPLY BROAD-SPECTRUM SPF SUNSCREEN

APPLY SUNSCREEN AFTER 30 MINUTES OF MOISTURISERS

    FOR HAIRS

    1. It is important to use a SLS and paraben free shampoo while leaving the shampoo for 1-2 minutes before rinsing.
    2. Dullness and unruly hair during summer could be because of the breakage of keratin bonds of the hair. It's best to use an oil leave on serum which protects the hair from the sun and repairs the hair.
    3. The hot summer wind can dry your hair. You can use cold pressed coconut oil for about 45 minutes to moisturize the hair.
    4. Sweat collection can lead to smelly hair.
      1. If you're used to applying oil, ensure that you wash off any oil after 45 minutes of application, since the oil can attract more fungus along with the sweat if left for very long.
      2. Use a cold blow dryer to clean the sweat from the scalp.
    5. Putting on a leave-in conditioner before you take a dip in the sea prevents the hair from absorbing too much salt water. Also post the swim ensure that you thoroughly shower with shampooing and deep conditioning for maintaining the health of your hair.
    6. Exposure to harsh sunlight can burn your scalp specifically in case of baldness. Ensure you apply a sunscreen of a high SPF every 4 - 5 hours.
7.Excessive shampooing can strip the scalp of sebum which is naturally produced by the hair for protection. Minimal shampooing can lead to collection of sweat and dirt which can cause much damage. It is important to use the right amount of hair products with the right frequency to ensure the optimal results

    FOR NAILS

    1. Moisturizing cuticles and nail beds improves their appearance and protects your nails from chipping and breaking. Fragile nails may simply be dehydrated. Rubbing baby oil on nails over the cuticle will moisturize the entire nail.
    2. The worst thing you can do to mar your nails' health is to bite and gnaw on them. Bacteria can easily transfer itself from your mouth to your nails. In some scenarios, your chewing may lead to an unsighlty skin infection called paronychia. This infection causes a painful, pus-filled swelling around the nail and cuticle
    3. Wear gloves when you wash dishes to prevent dry skin. If you are prone to dry skin, wearing gloves during the winter is also recommended. Avoid excess water work.
